A Year in New Division Shows
I’ve compiled what I believe are most of the shows we’ve played since ‘09 (I believe).
2011 had the best shows our band has seen to date though, and much thanks to our manager Suraj Teppara for the great effort on his behalf.

The Perfect Remix
This is a perfect example of what a remix can do to an original track: make it beautiful.

This Year & Next
2011 was all transitional. I moved twice, had about 6 months off to figure out what to do with the rest of my life (still in that process), got a job, moved to Moreno Valley, The New Division got some good press and support. Overall, 2011 is a year I’ll remember.
It’s not always proper to speculate what’s coming next, but I’ll at least say that my anticipation level is...

Top Dance List for 2011
I think a lot of people out there would say that 2011 was “the year of trance.” Indeed, there were a lot of incredible releases.
It seems as if the genre has changed a bit too in terms of production, and its blend with house music.
My “artist of the year” vote would have to go with Arty, the 22-year old Russian prodigy who came out of nowhere and happens to produce in FL...

Datsyuk, "Suicide Dreams" →
Datsyuk is name of New Division’s synth player, Mark Michalski, side project.
Check out this dreamy cut from his upcoming release, “Hanging On To You.”
Sunset Blvd.
I never understood why this song was called Sunset Blvd, other than the lyrical reference. Sounded a lot closer to “Manhattan Beach” or something.
2009 was the year I really got into trance, and this song commemorates that period of my life. The pure vocal bliss, the arps, the cuts, the build, the beach waves that inspire: this is a great tune. Helps with the occassional monotony that...

Forget the sign of the times: tasty sweets
When you’ve lost all that you’ve found, tasty treats come into play during the hours of the night. I bought some Pepperidge Farm cookies the other day as a way of establishing my “sweet tooth redemption.” I rarely eat sweets, I don’t know why, but it’s nice to have some kind of light-hearted taste in your mouth every now and then. At least that’s what...

No Rants Lost
I used to be really good at writing stuff about nothing. For whatever reason, I lost my train of thought a while ago. It must’ve occured after graduation. Since then, life has been filled with viscious musical cycles of regress, shifting from one appealing/mundane genre to the next with little to no sense of loyalty for any. I’ve given up, almost completely, on what was once an...

Dance Beets (and Radishes) - Kaskade
9.5/10
There’s something deeply troubling in our world today: the lack of good American dance producers. I mean, seriously, why are all the best productions imports from the EU? Is it because they have an easier time putting one finger up in the air while shaking their heads back and forth in the same fashion for hours? I don’t really get it, but it’s cool by me for the time...
Back to the Groove: Victory VIII - Vermont
(8.4) Victor VIII- Vermont
It’s been a while since my last blog post. I didn’t really know what to talk about for a long time. I guess I’ve had writer’s block for sometime now. I’m kinda excited to get back to writing random things here and there. The whole reason I stopped writing in the first place was because I was working on three separate political campaigns...

Life's Update
Finally out of my apartment at the Ritchilieu… Never thought it would happen. My parents invited me to move in months ago, but I wasn’t really sure about it.
The move has been made. I got my own room now. Things are chill. I got a garage. It’s great. I can mix my old songs, make new beats. It’s great. I’m loving it.
Today was the first day my church, Sandals, was...

The deficit
http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2009/10/620000005/1
First off, you can’t compare what is going on today with what happened during the Regan years. It’s not applicable anymore. The entire economy of the US went from building products to selling services. Republicans keep saying that we need to do something about the deficit so as not to saddle their children and...
top 100 djs has been leaked!
David Guetta should not get second… matter of fact, not even on the top 100. im happy w/ Deadmau5’s place, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery, and obviously Armin Should always stay #1. Matt Darey should’ve scored higher, but oh well.

Top 3 Progressive/Trance Tunes for September
Some tracks for all those who can’t get enough of the genre, these are the top tunes of the month with no doubt, possibly of the year. What makes these tracks stand out is their mixture of that uplifting trance sound mixed in with that progressive beat. It’d be fair to note that these are the best tunes in their own category, noting as well that these are all vocal tracks.

Cell Phone Companies
“God, I hate em!”
I don’t know what it is about these people, but it seems as if by the day they are becoming more and more inconsistent with their services. First they charge you hundreds for going over your minutes (meaning you’re the one doing the work to figure out and balance your minutes, when they should really be doing it for you), second they say...
